Official Rules and Regulations
- Sponsor: The Johnny Slicks Hawaii Trip Giveaway ("Giveaway") is sponsored by Johnny Slicks, Inc., a North Carolina corporation with a principle office location of 624 US HWY 17 S, Unit 1, Holly Ridge, North Carolina 28445 (the "Sponsor").
- Eligibility: Participation and eligibility in the Giveaway is limited to legal residents of the contiguous United States (excluding residents of Hawaii and/or Alaska) who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and possess a valid REAL ID. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) are not eligible to participate.
- Entry Period: The Giveaway begins at 12:00 AM EST on August 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM EST on October 31, 2025 (the "Entry Period"). Registrations submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be considered. Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Giveaway which will determine the commencement and conclusion for the Entry Period.
- How to Enter: Individuals who meet the Giveaway eligibility criteria may register to enter the Giveaway by
visiting the Sponsor-provided link and submitting all requested contact information on the Giveaway web page
(“Participants”). WEB REGISTRATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 11:59 PM EST on 10/31/2025 TO BE CONSIDERED FOR GIVEAWAY
ELIGIBILITY. Participants shall be responsible for any applicable charges imposed by their Internet service or data
provider, including any applicable taxes on such services in connection with submission of registration.
Eligibility in the Giveaway is contingent on the Participant’s complete submission of all requested information via the Sponsor’s online web entry form. Incomplete entries are void. Participants may be given the option to receive commercial emails and brochures from Sponsor, however, eligibility to participate in the Giveaway is not dependent upon Participant's consent to receive such emails or brochures. One (1) Giveaway entry shall be awarded per registration, contingent on the terms and conditions set forth herein. Registration for participation in the Giveaway is free. - Limit: Registration is limited to one entry per person, per household, and per email address during the Entry Period. Multiple Participants are not permitted to share a common email address. Any attempt by a Participant to obtain more than one entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, or any other methods will void all of said Participant's entries, and that Participant will be disqualified from eligibility for the Giveaway. Use of any automated system, including bots and/or artificial intelligence, to participate in the Giveaway is expressly prohibited and will result in the Participant’s immediate disqualification and voided registration. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected registrations, and any Participant whose registration is lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register for the Giveaway will be deemed to be the Participant. For the purposes of this Giveaway, the "authorized account holder" shall be deemed the natural person assigned an email address by the applicable internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. The grand prize winner may be required to show proof of ownership or proof of authority as the authorized account holder. All registrations and entries submitted in connection with the Giveaway shall become the sole and exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned to the Participant. Sponsor reserves the right to contact Participants and, by completing the Giveaway registration, the Participant hereby expressly consents to said contact.
- Grand Prize: One (1) eligible Participant will be selected to receive an all-inclusive trip to Hawaii which constitutes round trip airfare, a voucher for rental car, 5 nights at the Four Seasons resort Hualalai, a $2,000 credit for meals, and a $1,000 gift card (the “Grand Prize”). The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $30,000.00. Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual prize value will not be awarded. The prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize for one of equal or greater value. The Grand Prize Winner will be solely responsible for any expenses not listed herein related to receipt, possession, and acceptance, including any relevant state, local, or federal taxes incurred by participant as a result of the acceptance of the Grand Prize.
- Grand Prize Winner Selection Criteria: One (1) eligible Participant shall be selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries received during the Entry Period (the “Grand Prize Winner”). The random drawing will occur on Friday, November 1, 2025. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
- Notification: The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by phone (call + text), email, and social media (if applicable) within 24-48 hours of November 1, 2025, and shall be subject to eligibility verification and strict compliance with the terms and conditions set forth herein. Three (3) attempts will be made to contact the Grand Prize Winner. If the Grand Prize Winner cannot be contacted after 3 attempts by Sponsor, or fails to respond via phone (call + text), email, and/or social media (if applicable) within 3 business days of notification, the Grand Prize Winner forfeits the Grand Prize and an alternate winner shall be selected by the aforementioned random drawing process utilizing the same pool of remaining eligible entries.
- Verification of Grand Prize Winner: The Grand Prize Winner must comply with terms and conditions of the Giveaway and the Grand Prize Winner’s participation is contingent upon fulfilling all conditions precedent set forth herein. The Grand Prize Winner may be required to provide the Sponsor with documentation that shows participation eligibility including, but not limited to, providing the Sponsor proof of valid REAL ID, age, and/or residency.
- General Prize Restrictions: Grand Prize may not be transferred or assigned in whole or in part. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and complete discretion. The Winner shall be responsible for all expenses (except those specified as being the Sponsor's responsibility under these Official Rules) relating to acceptance and use of the prize and for all applicable taxes, including, but not limited to, any applicable federal, state, local and/or income tax obligations or assessments incurred as a result of their acceptance of the Grand Prize. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible Participants. In the event that a potential winner of the Grand Prize is disqualified for any reason, the Grand Prize will be awarded at the Sponsor's sole and complete discretion.
- ENTRY CONDITIONS AND RELEASE: By registering to enter the Giveaway, each Participant acknowledges, warrants, and agrees to: a) comply with and be bound by the official rules as set forth herein, including any delegated decisions by the Sponsor, which are binding and final in all matters relating to the Giveaway; b) release and hold harmless Sponsor and each of its respective parent, subsidiary, and/or affiliated companies, the Grand Prize suppliers, and any other organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Giveaway, and all of their respective past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property; including but not limited to invasion of privacy (under appropriation, intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false light in the public eye or other legal theory); defamation; slander; libel; violation of right of publicity; infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights; property damage, or personal injury or death arising out of or relating to a Participant's entry or participation in the Giveaway; acceptance, use or misuse of the Grand Prize (including any travel or activity related thereto); and/or the broadcast, exploitation or use of Participant’s registration and/or entry in the Giveaway; and c) indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to a Participant's participation in the Giveaway and/or Participant's acceptance, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize.
- Grant of Unlimited License: Unless otherwise prohibited by law, registration and acceptance of the Grand Prize in connection with the Giveaway constitutes the Grand Prize Winner’s consent to the Sponsor's use of the Grand Prize Winner’s name, image and likeness, and the Participant and/or Grand Prize Winner specifically grants an irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual, nontransferable and royalty-free license to the unlimited use of the Grand Prize Winner’s image, likeness, voice, opinion(s), hometown and state, the value of any prize and the Giveaway from which it was won, and/or any quotation, statement, or image associated with participation in the Giveaway without compensation and without additional consent from the Participant and/or Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize Winner’s submission of the registration form serves as said Participant’s release from any claims and/or expenses that may arise from the use of their image and likeness by Sponsor. Participant and/or Grand Prize Winner authorizes any of Sponsor’s agents, employees, assignees, affiliates, or licensees the same license granted to Sponsor herein.
- General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Giveaway, in whole or in part, if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors occcur beyond Sponsor's reasonable control which may impair or degrade the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole and complete discretion, to disqualify any individual Participant which Sponsor finds or deems to be acting in violation of the terms and conditions set forth herein, or as otherwise determined to be tampering with the registration or operation of the Giveaway in any capacity whatsoever. Any attempt by any person or Participant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal, civil, or common law and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person or Participant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term or condition set forth herein shall not constitute a waiver of said provision.
- Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Giveaway, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use of the prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Giveaway; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participant's participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use of the prize. Participant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Giveaway, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney's fees. Participant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. If for any reason an Participant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, Participant's sole remedy is another entry in the Giveaway, provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Giveaway, or any part of it, for any reason, Sponsor, at its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for the prize offered herein. No more than the stated prize will be awarded.
- Disputes: Except where prohibited by law, Participant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Giveaway, or any prize awarded in connection with the same, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction located in Onslow County, North Carolina or in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Southern Division. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Giveaway, but in no event shall attorneys' fees be authorized; and under no circumstances shall Participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, and/or any other damages, and further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, Participant's rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of North Carolina, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than North Carolina.
- Privacy: Information collected from Participants is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy.
- Agreement to the Official Rules: By participating in the Giveaway, each Participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway. Being selected and winning the Grand Prize are contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. By participating in the Giveaway, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Official Rules and agree to abide by them.
- Entire Agreement: Submission of the Giveaway registration form constitutes an acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth herein and is the sole and entire agreement as contemplated by the Sponsor and the Participant and/or Grand Prize Winner, and no oral statements or prior written material not specifically incorporated herein shall be of any force or effect.
